Masters??

I have been toying with the idea of going back to school to get my masters. Last summer at one of our BBQ's, I was talking with my aunt Amy and my Grams about teaching school. At that point in time I was so sick of my boss I would do anything to get away from him. So I took on the idea of teaching. I thought it was a good idea, I mean I worked with teenagers just about every day, so how hard could it be teaching them right? Since I already have a degree, and teachers for some strange reason, are in short supply these days, most school districts will hire you on and you basically team teach while the district sends you back to school to get your teaching license. My cousins husband applied and got a job, so how hard could it be? Well I applied, and thank goodness I did not get a call because I landed myself the best job! I work at the University of Utah as the Biology dept's Research Greenhouses Coordinator. I absolutely love my job! There are so many wonderful perks to the job, they seem never ending. Finally I get paid vacation, holidays, sick leave, and the medical benefits are amazing! And the best perk of all... 50% off tuition!!!! So now I am going back and toying with the idea of getting my Masters in Education. I think it would be fun to teach a greenhouse/agriculture class to high school students. It is better than teaching math, or english, because they have to take these classes. A greenhouse class is something that they choose, something that they might be interested in. How fun would that be!? I am trying to get in contact with the right people to see what I need to do to apply and if I could even get in the program not having taken any educating classes. I guess I could just go see if there was a class open to teach and then go back and get my license. But what idiot would pass up 50% off tuition. Not this idiot! So I am going to keep on my quest of getting more information about the program! It just all seems so intimidating! I guess I just need to "nut up or shut up" - word from the wise Tallahassee!
